Meet the 2024 summer WITerns

June 5, 2024

This summer, WIT welcomes eight "WITerns" from all over the country to join the partnerships and sales, service and marketing and engineering teams. Learn more about each of our summer interns for 2024.

Ani Anil (Engineering)

I'm originally from New Jersey and am currently a rising senior at Virginia Tech.

I'm interested in WIT because of its innovative approach to merging technology with the sports industry. The opportunity to work on projects that enhance athletic performance and fan engagement is exciting.

I aim to expand my software development skills this summer and learn from experienced professionals.

My favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers and an interesting fact is I've lived in both Norway and Bangkok.

Jeremy Bao (Marketing & Service)

I'm originally from New Jersey and am currently a rising sophomore at Princeton studying Operations Research Financial Engineering (ORFE).

Growing up, I’ve always been into sports and fascinated with how we use innovative technology to improve player and fan experiences. This interest aligns with WIT’s commitment to revolutionizing the sports entertainment industry through a digital activation platform. I’m excited to work in a collaborative, startup environment with other sports enthusiasts!

I aim to explore all aspects of WIT’s platform, from initial concept development and creative strategy to implementation and analysis of results. By immersing myself in each part of the process, I hope to learn what makes a digital activation successful and engaging.

My favorite teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and Tottenham Hotspurs. One interesting fact about me is I actually went to the hospital two years in a row on the same day.

Akash Dubey (Engineering)

I'm from Cupertino, California and am currently a rising senior at Virginia Tech. I'm majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics.

What drew me to WIT is what the company does for the sports industry. I grew up playing lots of sports and continue to have a passion for playing and watching sports. I’m deeply interested in how WIT uses technology to enhance fan engagement and deepen the connection between fans and their favorite teams.

I am mainly looking to gain valuable professional experience to help me become a better software engineer as well as a more well-rounded student for my last year studying Computer Science.

I’m from California so some of my favorite teams are California teams like the Warriors. Lakers, and 49ers.

A fun fact about me is that I was born at 5:15 on 5/15.

Ashwin Pazhetam (Engineering)

I'm from Iselin, N.J. and am currently a rising senior at Princeton. I'm majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

As someone who is interested in entrepreneurship, I saw the internship at WIT as an exciting opportunity to work at a startup that is rapidly growing.

In addition to building my technical skills as an engineer, I am hoping to become a part of the tight-knit team at WIT, and gain insight on how such a small startup delivers best-in-class products in such a competitive landscape.

My favorite sports team is Scuderia Ferrari. I enjoy traveling and outdoor adventure.
